    EXAMINATION
   PROMOTION

  1. University Examination are held at the end of the Academic Semester.
  2. The student must have attended a minimum of 75% classes conducted in the semester.
  3. The student shall have paid the examination fees and submitted the applications to the University for both semesters of the academic year.
  4. Students are required to successfully complete the entire course within Five years from admission to the course.


   AWARD OF THE DEGREE
A student shall be eligible for the award of the LL.B. Degree after he/ she has successfully completed all the prescribed courses in all the semesters and has secured a minimum of 40% in the aggregate provided his or her character and conduct are found to be satisfactory during the course.


   AWARD OF CLASSES
The award of classes shall be as under:
   a) 70% and more First Class with Distinction
   b) 60% and above but less than 70% First Class
   c) 50% and above but less than 60% Second Class
   d) 40% and above but less than 50% Pass Class

   Course Structure:
The allocation of courses over ten semesters shall be as under.

   I Semester:

Course-III Law of Torts
Course-IV Family Law-I: Hindu Law
Course-V Criminal Law-I: Indian Penal Code
Course-VI English (For those who write examination in kannada)

   II Semester:
Course-I Constitutional Law-II

Course-III Labour Law I
Course-IV Administrative Law
Course-V Family Law –II: Mohammedan Law & Indian Succession Act
Course-VI Kannada/Kannada kali(For non-Kanndiga students)

   III Semester:
Course-I Jurisprudence
Course-II Labour Law
Course-III Law of Taxation
Course-IV Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita
Course-V Administrative Law

   IV Semester:
Course-I Public International Law
Course-II Optional-I: Human Rights Law and Practice / Insurance Law
Course-III Optional-II: Banking Law / Right to Information
Course-IV Clinical Course-I: Professional Ethics and
Professional Accounting Systems
Course-V Clinical Course-II: Alternative Dispute Resolution Systems

   V Semester:

& Victimology
Course-IV Optional-IV: Interpretation of Statutes & Principles of Legislation
/ Competition Law
